Tête de Moine AOP represents first and foremost the taste of a region, over 800 years of know-how and a unique mode of consumption. At the "Maison de la Tête de Moine" we offer a museum which provides you with the opportunity to travel back in time and visit the history of Tête de Moine AOP. Highlights also include an ipadguided discovery Tour, an historical cheese factory with wood-fired production, a real cheese cellar as well as the tasting of local products.

You can find out how Tête de Moine is made in the traditional manner.
The times for the manufacturing stages below are given as a guide only, and may be advanced or delayed depending on the progress of production.
- 14:00: Start of the manufacturing process (heating to renneting temperature)
- 14:30: Renneting (coagulation of the milk with the rennet)
- 15:00: De-curdling (cutting) then stirring and heating of the grains and whey
- 15:30: Removal of the cheese and filling the moulds
